Śaranam Center
for Healing & Transformation

We welcome guests to immerse themselves in our serene countryside sanctuary—where ancient wisdom traditions meet contemporary paths to wholeness.

A Sacred Container for Wisdom

Śaranam honors Divine Wisdom manifesting through countless authentic spiritual paths. Whether you practice Vedantic, Buddhist, Christian, Islamic, Jewish, Indigenous, or contemporary traditions—or draw from multiple wisdom sources—this sanctuary recognizes the one Divine Truth expressing itself through infinite forms.

For over four decades, this Greenville and South Westerlo, New York land has served as refuge for seekers from every tradition. The property holds millennia of sacred history, long recognized by Mohawk, Haudenosaunee, Mahican, and Lenape peoples as a place where Basic Creek flows as a spiritual artery and Mother Earth provides sanctuary.

 ...it's pronounced "SHA-ru-num"

Śaraṇam (Sanskrit: शरणम्) means “unto refuge” or “into shelter.” It represents the fundamental spiritual act of taking refuge in the Divine – a concept that transcends all religious boundaries and appears as a core principle across every authentic spiritual tradition.

A SACRED SPACE FOR YOUR TRIBE

If you guide others toward healing and transformation, Śaranam provides sanctuary where profound work happens.

Our 100+ acre refuge creates the container your practice requires—whether you facilitate yoga, meditation, sound healing, somatic therapies, ceremonies from any wisdom tradition, therapeutic workshops, or any authentic path to wholeness.

Your community will find genuine welcome, privacy for intimate healing work, and land holding sacred intentions across generations. We honor the confidentiality essential to deep spiritual and therapeutic practice.

As a teacher, practitioner, or event organizer, your guests will feel welcome and relaxed, absorbing the beauty and soothing atmosphere here.
